Overview
Qasr Al Hosn is the oldest standing structure in Abu Dhabi, originally built in 1761 as a watchtower to protect the island’s only freshwater well. Over time, it evolved into a fortified palace and served as the residence of the ruling Al Nahyan family, as well as the seat of government. Today, it stands as a national monument and museum, showcasing the rich history and culture of the United Arab Emirates.
