1. Ain Al Madhab Gardens

Ain Al Madhab Gardens are situated in the lower regions of Hajar Mountains, external to the town of Fujairah. It was called the Ottoman Mosque for the man who built it. Located in north of Fujairah, the mosque consists of a prayer hall with a prayer niche, or ‘mihrab’, arches and openings. A middle pillar divides the internal space into four squares of similar dimensions. The pillar also supports four domes, which is seen from the exterior.

4. Wadi Wuraya National Park

Wadi Wuraya is the first mountain range in the UAE which was designated a protected zone by the Emirates Wildlife Society in Association with World Wide Fund for Nature. The mountain range was once occupied by Bedouins for 2,000 years. It was also habitat for the Arabian Tahr, caracal lynx, leopard, spotted eagle, blue-tailed lizard, humpbacked fly, and the Gerrabarreimmiae (a fish). This park is one of the most-crowded tourist places in Fujairah.

5. Masafi

Masafi town is situated along the edge of the Hajar Mountains, close to Fujairah. Before the development of the present highways, Masafi had been a general post and refuelling stop. The town is separated into two sections: the bigger segment has a place with the emirate of Fujairah, and the more modest segment has a place with the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The term Masafi, in Arabic, suggests ‘pure water’. The town is known for its regular springs too. Masafi Mineral Water is the Gulf’s leading mineral water maker, found near the town. 9. Heritage Village

The Heritage Village shows the traditional way of life of the residents of emirates—farming tools, cooking utensils, houses, and the Al Yazrah irrigation system used for irrigating fields with a working bull. The village also has Fujairah Fortress and other ancient buildings that were used by the ruler’s family. The Fujairah Department of Archaeology and Heritage has renovated the fortress now, built a mud wall around the area, and constructed a theatre to accommodate up to 3000 spectators. 10. Bull Butting

Bullbutting has grown to be a major attraction in Fujairah now. It was begun in the 16th and 17th centuries and is a family event in Fujairah. Every Friday, local families and tourists gather in an open field where the battling of bulls takes place. The day always starts with 20 bulls, and the winners only move on to the next round. This sport was introduced to this region of the Arabian Peninsula by the Portuguese.
